The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season[DVD]
In this highly anticipated new season, we see Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., The Wire).
The Walking Dead, the most watched drama in basic cable history, returns for another terrifying and exhilarating season on AMC on October 13.

Not being a fan of the zombie craze (sorry I just don't get it) I was going to pass this show by. But after giving the Walking Dead a chance and watching the first couple episodes, I quickly realized that I was missing out. This show is much more than a zombie story--in fact at points that senario is like a gory backdrop for the real story. Sure there are lots of scenes with half-dead "walkers" chasing the living, but even those are pretty well done. It's suspenseful, dramatic, well writen, and somehow beautiful. In my opinion the Walking Dead might be the best human condition story I have seen on tv. Despite the story revolving around death (or the undead), it has a lot to say about life and how we live.

From original air date to streaming in less than 24hs, with no commercials, for less than $2 an episode? Where do I sign up?! What, I'm already signed up just by being an Amazon customer? All I have to do is click a button? SWEET!!Yeah! this beats the heck out of $100 a month for cable when I don't watch 99.9% of it. Buying by the show is the way to go! I have maybe 3 shows I keep up with now that Breaking Bad is over. I will save $100's a year! Thank you Amazon!

By J. ERVIN
Character studies are essential to great works of literature whatever form they may be in. The protagonist or hero can only ever be as interesting as the villain he must face. With this episode we are provided with a powerful character study of a cardinal villain of the Walking Dead; the Governor. The Governor (or “Brian” as he has taken to calling himself) has been a fascinating villain in the series in the past. This was not merely based on his dichotomy of a controlled logical leader and a maniacal murdering mad man. Rather, it was rooted in the genesis for the Governor’s current state; the death of his family. This episode provides the Governor with a new family of sorts. The process revealed some of the layers to this increasingly classic villain. It also put the Governor in such a position as where it is difficult if not impossible to know what he will do next. The need to love and protect a new family is a game changer. There are many one star reviews here. Be assured that these criticisms are coming from people who love shiny things, constant action and little plot. Now to be sure the first two things are not bad…but we need more to enjoy a story as a whole.Bottom line: I have been a fan of the Walking Dead since reading the comic series years before the show came out. As great as the show is, it unfortunately never lived up to the comic book. If more episodes like, “Live Bait” come out then that will change.
